London Cultural Quarters towards London 2012

While working for the Exhibition Road Cultural Group, London was awarded the 2012 Olympics and tasked with staging a Cultural Olympiad.
The Exhibition Road Cultural Group became the Western Cultural Quarter for London with four other quarters, namely the Centre and West End London Quarter (The West End, Covent Garden and Soho area); the East London Cultural Quarter (from the Barbican Centre stretching to the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in Stratford); Kings Cross Quarter (Bloomsbury, Camden and Islington) and the Southbank and Bankside Cultural Quarter (around the South Bank, Bankside, Southwark and Lambeth areas) and working closely with the Mayor of London’s Office.
I took on the role of co-ordinator to this group until 2011, that became known as the London Cultural Quarters Group and delivered an inclusive, pan London cultural festival for the whole of 2012.
