In 2013, I trained with the Arts Council Wales, National Theatre of Wales and Watershed Bristol to develop new skills in digital producing. Producing cultural projects digitally can take many forms from web-site content, digital films, live streaming content, using social media, using GPS or computer programming, digital design, digital crafts, mobile apps, gaming…the list is endless.

Twelve digital producers were selected to join this training programme over three months. The training developed our skills in digital producing,  hat is managing and leading creative projects that engage audiences digitally, often responsively. We learnt about new technologies such Arduino, a simple and low cost electronics scheme that can easily be used with a wide range of audiences; App development and live streaming.

I have experience in developing cultural projects to have a strong digital element alongside a physical aspect. Embedding quality digital media in public programmes, interpretation and exhibitions can increase and more deeply engage audiences, widen reach and enhance learning, participation and enjoyment.

As part of the Arts Council of Wales Digital Producers Cohort, I am well positioned to contribute, advise and lead projects that are focused on digital.
